There are two separate contracts. The rental contract, which you sign directly with the student through a registered real estate agency, with flexible duration as suits you: semester, full academic year or as a primary residence. And the service contract, between Flatmeits and the student, covering cleaning, maintenance, support and all other services. We do not intervene in the rental contract.
Girona is a stressed housing market area. Rental prices are regulated by current legislation, applying the previous contract or the reference index depending on the situation. The registered agency we work with will advise you on the appropriate price for your flat.
Working with regulated prices allows us to offer students a layer of services at a reasonable cost. The student pays the rent to the landlord and the Flatmeits service to us. This makes the model work for everyone: the landlord has a well-maintained, occupied flat, the student gets a comprehensive service at a fair price, and we can do our job. The student can cancel the service contract with Flatmeits under the agreed terms. In this case, we would stop providing our service coverage for their flat: cleaning, issue management, support and the rest. The rental contract with the landlord is independent and unaffected.
